Double Oven Repair

Repairing Double Ovens

Double ovens stack two full oven cavities into one freestanding range, giving each cavity its own bake element, broil element, and temperature sensor even though both usually share a single control board and, on gas models, a single gas supply line. A double oven that heats correctly in the lower cavity but not the upper, or the reverse, almost always points to an element or sensor isolated to the affected cavity rather than a shared component. The upper cavity on most double ovens runs smaller and can preheat faster, so uneven preheat times between the two aren't necessarily a fault on their own. A control board fault is less common but can affect both cavities simultaneously, which helps separate a shared-component issue from an isolated one during diagnosis.

How San Marcos Appliance Repair Fixes It

A technician tests the bake element, broil element, and temperature sensor in each cavity independently, then checks the shared control board and gas supply where applicable to confirm whether the fault is isolated or shared. San Marcos Appliance Repair services double ovens from Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, KitchenAid, Bosch, and Viking and backs every completed repair with a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Same-day appointments are available seven days a week across San Marcos and North San Diego County. Call 760-621-5157 to schedule a technician today.

Diagnosed by Certified Technicians

A technician evaluating the bake element, broil element, temperature sensor, and control board on this repair holds NASTeC certification in appliance service and repair, trained through MiraCosta College's Technology Career Institute or San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) before joining the team led by founder and Master Appliance Repair Technician Francisco Ortega, who has run San Marcos Appliance Repair since 2006. That training is what backs the 90-day parts-and-labor warranty on every double oven repair, backed by our licensed and insured guarantee.
